Position Overview

We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to join our finance team in Ålesund. This role reports directly to the VP Finance and plays a critical part in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of our global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing and improving group accounting consolidation processes.
• Lead monthly and quarterly group financial consolidation, as well as quarterly and annual statutory financial reporting.
• Ensure group compliance with relevant IFRS standards and lead training and implementation of new standards across the Group.
• Drive improvement and streamlining of financial reporting processes.
• Facilitate accounting onboarding processes for newly acquired entities into the Group.
• Serve as the key point of contact for external auditors and contribute to internal auditing processes.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

• Strong accounting background with minimum 5 years relevant experience from auditing, accounting, or similar role.
• Extensive experience in financial consolidation processes and systems, preferably from multinational companies.
• Good overview of IFRS standards.
• Competency in Norwegian tax regulations, tax return filings and transfer pricing rules
• Experience with due diligence processes.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Norwegian language skills are beneficial but not required, though understanding of Norwegian tax regulations is essential. Some travel should be expected.
